Burwood Eye Specialists has proudly provided expert eye care to the Burwood community since 1946.
Founded by Dr Macindoe following his wartime service, the practice has grown into one of Burwood’s most trusted ophthalmology clinics.
Over the decades, respected ophthalmologists including Dr Phyllis Waddy and Dr Roger Williams helped shape the clinic’s reputation for clinical excellence and compassionate care.
Our Team
In 2015, Dr Bogna Zborowska became principal and re-established the practice as Burwood Eye Specialists, leading a dedicated team that includes Dr Gina Tsanaktsidis, Dr Edwin Figueira, and Dr Tony Chen.
Together, our specialists provide comprehensive care across a wide range of eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and urgent eye problems.
Our Clinic
Located at 280 Burwood Road, our clinic is set within a peaceful heritage home featuring a spacious waiting area and tranquil garden.
We are conveniently located close to public transport, with disabled parking available at the front entrance.
