Dr Bogna Zborowska
Dr Zborowska is a general ophthalmologist with over 20 years’ experience and special expertise in cataract and refractive laser surgery.
Dr Zborowska has performed more than 5,000 procedures, including cataract, pterygium, laser, and eyelid surgeries.
Dr Zborowska manages a wide range of eye conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and dry eye.
Dr Zborowska also serves as a consultant at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital, supervising trainee doctors.
A graduate of the University of Sydney, Dr Zborowska trained at Sydney Eye Hospital and completed a refractive surgery fellowship with Laser Sight Centres.
Dr Zborowska founded Burwood Eye Specialists in 2015 and speaks English, Polish, and basic Italian and Russian.
Dr Gina Tsanaktsidis
Dr Tsanaktsidis is a retinal specialist with advanced training in vitreoretinal surgery at Westmead Hospital (Sydney) and Western Eye Hospital (London).
Dr Tsanaktsidis provides surgical and medical management of complex retinal conditions, including macular holes, retinal detachment, epiretinal membranes, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.
Dr Tsanaktsidis performs a high volume of specialised retinal procedures, including vitrectomy, retinal repair, and intravitreal injections.
A graduate of Flinders University, Dr Tsanaktsidis brings extensive clinical experience and surgical precision to retinal care.

Dr Figueira completed ophthalmology training at Prince of Wales Hospital, followed by an oculoplastics fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
